Private employers terminating staff who don’t get Covid vaccine (CBS)

Many employees are losing their jobs as employers mandate Covid-19 vaccinations, CBS reported. It noted the healthcare and aviation industries have already dismissed thousands. Novant Health CEO Carl Amato told CBS MoneyWatch that staffing is no more of a concern today than before all workers were required to be vaccinated and the company has been adding travelers to meet its needs. “Without a vaccine mandate for team members, we faced the strong possibility of having a third of our staff unable to work due to contracting, or exposure to, Covid-19,” Amato said.
