The National Labor Relations Board cautioned that employers must be careful in drafting severance agreements in order to avoid not asking workers to sign their rights away, Reuters reported last Wednesday. In a memo, the board’s general counsel noted in a recent memo that a February decision by the NLRB prohibits agreements that restrict workers’ ability to file lawsuits or communicate with the board, unions or the media.
