S.i. Systems ULC, an IT staffing firm that ranks among the largest in Canada, announced its first US acquisition today. The company acquired Elign Consulting, a Minneapolis-based firm specializing in technology staffing, recruitment process outsourcing and workforce solutions.
“As our first acquisition in the US, this represents an important milestone in our long-term vision to be the preeminent staffing solutions provider in North America,” S.i. Systems CEO said Derek Bullen said in a press release.
It will also enable the companies to provide IT talent solutions to more customers, Bullen said.
Elign will maintain its headquarters in Minneapolis; founder and CEO Linh Cravens will continue to lead the business as part of S.i. Systems. Cravens founded Elign in 2017 with Jim Newman.
“Elign and S.i. Systems share a people-first culture and a focus on building a team of the most talented and deeply experienced professionals across verticals,” Cravens said in a press release.
This acquisition follows S.i. Systems’ announcement last November that private equity firms Cornell Capital LLC and TorQuest Partners took a stake in the firm.
“As S.i. Systems continues to enhance its reputation and leadership in a highly competitive market, the addition of Elign will deepen its differentiated offerings and unlock added value for customers in the US and Canada,” Charles Buaron, managing director at Cornell Capital, and Andrew Kolupanowicz, partner at TorQuest, said in a joint statement.
Terms of the transaction were not announced.
