Staffing Industry Connects Workers to Apprenticeship Opportunities
The American Staffing Association is proud to join with organizations around the country in celebrating the first Youth Apprenticeship Week from May 5 to 11 in the United States.
“Youth apprenticeships provide a way for those entering the workforce to earn while they learn some of the most in-demand skills in today’s jobs market,” said Richard Wahlquist, chief executive officer at the American Staffing Association. “All across the country, staffing agencies are providing job seekers with new opportunities to take part in apprenticeships in a wide variety of industries.”
“Apprenticeships can create pathways to success for young people looking to take the first steps of their careers. Staffing agencies are excited to support apprenticeships as a way for young Americans to develop the job skills they need for successful careers.”
Every year, the American Staffing Association recognizes the top workforce development initiatives, such as apprenticeships, in the staffing and recruiting industry through the Elevate Awards.
Nominations for the Elevate Awards are open now through Friday, May 24, and can be submitted at americanstaffing.net/elevate.
