A traveling nurse and surgical technician who worked at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Rosa, California, filed a lawsuit last week seeking more than a million dollars in damages, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. Courtney Jackson asserted that his 13-week contract was terminated prematurely not only due to disability discrimination and whistleblowing on the lack of PPE, but also racial discrimination, as he was the only Black traveling nurse on staff. Along with Kaiser, Alliant Staffing is also included in the lawsuit. Kaiser denies the allegations; Jackson is still employed by Alliant and Kaiser is the one that ended his contract, Alliant said.
