Nearly half who lost jobs during the Covid-19 crisis do not believe those jobs will be coming back, according to a poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. Back in April, 78% thought the job losses would be temporary; now, 47% believe those jobs are gone and not likely to return. The poll results are one sign that solid hiring in May and June may wane as the year goes on.
