American CyberSystems Inc. completed its acquisition of Volt Information Sciences Inc. (NYSEAMERICAN: VOLT) through its Vega Consulting Inc. affiliate at a purchase price of $6 per share, the companies announced today.
“We are pleased to welcome Volt into our family of companies,” said Raj Sardana, CEO of ACS.
ACS and Volt first announced the deal in March. Volt ranks as the 26th-largest US staffing firm while ACS ranks as the 19th-largest.
“As we begin to write the next chapter in Volt’s story, we are excited to leverage this new affiliation for innovative solutions and growth in all aspects of our business,” said Linda Perneau, president and CEO at Volt.
With the deal, Volt will no longer be a publicly traded company. It has requested that the New York Stock Exchange suspend trading of shares effective April 26.
