The Adecco Group Mexico, along with several business organizations, and others — including the government’s Ministry of Labor and Social Security — have have created a program called Mobilization for Employment to help the pandemic-impacted labor market recover.

“We want to support the reactivation of the economy and formal employment, favoring the reincorporation of the workforce to the new normal in the different economic activities of the country, promoting the training and relocation of workers who have been affected in their employability by the Covid-19 pandemic,” The Adecco Group said in a statement.

According to Web24News, about 22 business chambers and Mexican associations are a part of the initiative, including the National Employment Service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic, the Swiss-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the American Chamber.

“The objective is the job relocation of those affected by the Covid-19 contingency through training and jobs,” Francisco Martínez Domene, director of The Adecco Group Mexico, told Web24. “We believe that it is time to join forces and generate actions that not only allow us to return to our daily tasks, within the new normal, but also provide an additional element for the economic reactivation of the country.”

Within the project, The Adecco Group has proposed a nonprofit platform for online training and that companies share vacancies to quicken rehiring.
