Adzuna, a search engine for jobs, announced its acquisition of Getwork, a US-based job search engine.
Getwork was acquired from LinkUp, a Minneapolis-based job market data company. LinkUp had spun out Getwork in 2021 as a wholly owned subsidiary. Plans call for Getwork to continue operating as an independent brand.
“Adzuna acquiring Getwork will help us supercharge our growth in North America,” said Doug Monro, CEO and co-founder of Adzuna. “The US is the fastest-growing part of our business, and this acquisition will accelerate our profitable growth trajectory.”
Getwork and Adzuna will continue to operate as independent brands. Together, they will index job ads from more than 50,000 employer websites, according to the companies.
Adzuna has headquarters offices in London, Indianapolis and Sydney. It operates in 20 countries, having recently launched operations in Switzerland, Belgium, Spain and Mexico.
The acquisition will allow Getwork to scale into new markets, said Getwork President Brad Squibb.
