Allegis Group, which ranks as the largest staffing firm in the US based on revenue, announced its president, Andy Hilger, will step down from the role at the end of this year. The group also announced that Jay Alvather will take on the new Allegis Group CEO role effective January 2023.
Alvather has served in various executive leadership positions for more than 25 years, most recently serving as president of TEKsystems, Allegis Group’s largest operating company.
“I am excited to take on this new role — supporting and enabling our amazing team members as they create significant opportunity for our customers, consultants and contract employees,” Alvather said. “As we have done for nearly 40 years now, our network of specialized companies will continue to grow and transform to meet the needs of our global customers while we reinforce our cultural legacy of strong relationships and superior service. I am grateful for Andy Hilger, who has helped chart the course for Allegis Group’s transformation these past several years, and even more thankful that he will continue to provide his innovative perspective, partnership and advice.”
Hilger is stepping down after holding various strategic leadership roles across the Allegis Group network of companies over the past 25 years. He has been instrumental in helping to fuel Allegis Group’s growth into a $14.5 billion global enterprise.
The company noted that while he will be stepping out of his day-to-day leadership role, Hilger will remain involved as a strategic advisor, helping to guide Allegis Group’s ongoing transformation.
“I am incredibly proud of what Allegis Group has accomplished, and I know there is so much more ahead for this great team,” Hilger said. “More than anything, as I reflect on my 25 years with this company, I am grateful. It has been a privilege to work with such a wonderful group of people who will continue to create opportunity for so many year after year.” Both Hilger and Alvather have appeared on SIA’s Staffing 100 list of most influential people in the industry.
Separately, Allegis Global Solutions this week named a new president.
