Launches Vaccine Literacy Web Microsite for Employers
As part of efforts to lead the U.S. staffing and recruiting industry’s response to the pandemic, the American Staffing Association this week launched a Covid-19 vaccine literacy microsite. The site provides a variety of resources all employers—not just staffing agencies—can use to engage and educate their workforces about the vaccines.
ASA is partnering with the Health Action Alliance to share free tools and resources, including a quick-start guide, sample communications for c-level executives and managers, vaccine FAQs, a social media tool kit, and more. The ASA microsite also provides access to resources from National Safety Council SAFER (Safe Actions for Employee Returns) taskforce resources: including tips for business leaders, planning tools, and examples of how specific organizations are addressing questions about the vaccine. ASA joined the taskforce last year to contribute to the development of a comprehensive, multifaceted plan to guide employers through the process of safely resuming traditional work and operations now and in a postpandemic environment.
“Research shows that businesses are a trusted source of information about Covid-19 and are well suited to advance vaccine literacy efforts across the U.S.,” said Brittany Sakata, Esq., ASA associate general counsel. “Every staffing agency has a role to play in vaccine response, and the resources in the ASA microsite will help all employers advance the critical work of getting people vaccinated so they can return to physical jobsites and contribute to our nation’s continued economic recovery.”
New resources will be added to the microsite on an ongoing basis.
