Connecticut and New Mexico posted the highest unemployment rates among all states in June at 7.9% each, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Nevada followed at 7.8%.
Nebraska and Utah recorded the lowest jobless rates among states in June at 2.5% and 2.7%, respectively.
Hawaii posted the largest month-over-month decrease among states in its unemployment rate, which fell 0.3 of a percentage point to 7.7%. Kansas posted the largest increase, rising 0.2 of a percentage point to 3.7%.
