While consumer prices in October were unchanged from the prior month, “core” inflation rose at its slowest annual pace since September 2021, Yahoo Finance reported. Economists had expected consumer prices to edge up by 0.1% month over month. Core inflation, which excludes food and gas, rose 4.0% year over year.
