The UK’s leading independent job board, CV-Library, is delighted to announce the appointment of Barry Sacks as its new Global Chief Technology Officer, a move that the organisation believes will help the business to remain a forward-thinking and innovative tech company.
Barry Sacks commenced his position on 1st June. He is an accomplished technology entrepreneur, corporate director and consultant, having worked throughout the UK, Europe, Australia and the US. He brings over 25 years of experience leading a variety of start-up, SME and blue-chip organisations through the design, delivery, management and growth of innovative digital products and services.
Lee Biggins, founder and CEO of CV-Library, comments:
“At CV-Library, we’ve always been passionate about technology, and our IT department plays a massive part in our success as a business. With Barry on board and under his leadership, I’m confident that the team will continue to thrive and help us push through exciting and innovative new products that will help both candidates and recruiters during these challenging times.”
As an online recruitment business, CV-Library has always been committed to creating products that help employers, recruiters and candidates get the most out of its service. In March 2020, the job board won the ‘Technical Innovation’ accolade at the OnRec Awards 2020 for the second year running and the past 12 months has seen the company launch several exciting new products, including:
- Search Builder: This feature increases search quality and results for clients by suggesting terms, using auto-complete and auto-fixing broken Boolean search strings
- Quick Apply: Enables clients to specify when a CV isn’t needed, making it easier for candidates to apply to certain roles – particularly in industries where it’s not common to have a CV
- Custom Screening Questions: Recruiters can now add up to five custom questions per job posting for candidates to answer when they apply. Each question can have up to five answers and you can choose which ones are the most desirable
- Video Interviews: Users can set up video interviews with candidates in seconds. This is ideal for remote hiring and can help clients become more efficient, reduce their time-to-hire and create a positive candidate experience
Barry Sacks, Global Chief Technology Officer at CV-Library, adds:
“I’m really excited to join the CV-Library team and to get to know everyone – albeit virtually right now! I believe my experience and passion for enabling businesses to successfully execute their digital strategy to achieve ambitious performance objectives will contribute to the continued growth and success of the business and I look forward to putting this into action.”
