The American Staffing Association (ASA), the voice of the U.S. staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions industry, announced the promotion of Stephen C. Dwyer, Esq., to ASA president, effective, July 1, 2023.
“This is an exciting and well-deserved promotion in recognition of Stephen’s many years of contributions and leadership,” said Richard Wahlquist, chief executive officer at ASA. “The ASA staff, board of directors, and I look forward to working with Stephen to further advance the interests of the staffing, recruiting, and talent solutions industry and the millions of people we place and employ every day.”
Dwyer brings more than 20 years of expertise to his new role. He most recently served as senior vice president and chief legal and operating officer at ASA. Dwyer has been instrumental in leading the association’s advocacy efforts, championing the industry’s commitment to excellence and compliance, and overseeing the association’s internal operations.
“Stephen’s wealth of experience and deep understanding of the staffing industry make him the ideal leader to partner with ASA CEO Richard Wahlquist, guiding our association forward,” said ASA board of directors chair, Threase Baker, TSC, CSP.
Dwyer earned his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University and his J.D. from Boston College Law School.
