PeopleReady, a division of TrueBlue Inc. (NYSE: TBI), reported today that 19 million jobs were posted in the US between August and September of this year alone as holiday hiring heats up. And 14 million of those job postings are still active today. Some of the most in-demand jobs include delivery drivers and warehouse workers.
“From hospitality to retail, the workforce shortage will have a tremendous effect on holiday hiring this season,” said Taryn Owen, president and COO, PeopleReady and PeopleScout. “Those jobs that have been easy to fill in prior years will see challenges this year.”
PeopleReady also listed the most in-demand jobs for the end-of-year holiday season. They included:
- Delivery drivers
- Retail associates
- Warehouse workers
- Servers and food service workers
- Hosts/hostesses
- Cleaners and housekeepers
