The Ford Motor Co. is laying off 2,000 salaried workers and 1,000 agency personnel, TechCrunch reported. The automaker announced that the job cuts will primarily affect workers in the US, Canada and India. In an internal email to employees, Ford Chairman Bill Ford and CEO Jim Farley confirmed that the layoffs follow significant restructuring in Ford operations outside of North America over the past couple of years.
