At the HR Technology Conference, we have always enjoyed featuring stories and case studies from some of the world’s leading organizations—and inviting their HR and technology executives to share their insights for the benefit of our HR tech community. Success—particularly long-term, sustained success in any industry—is not an accident, nor is it simply a product of good fortune or luck. No, for any organization, no matter the nature of their market or business type, achieving and then maintaining a standard of excellence over time requires that all elements of strategy, culture, people, leadership and technology work together to produce winning results.
In the National Football League—it pains me to write this as a lifelong New York Jets fan—the standard of success for the past two decades has been the New England Patriots, winners of six Super Bowl titles who appeared in nine Super Bowl games during that span. Simply put, the team’s success on the field is unparalleled. And it stands to reason that an organization that has been so successful for so long is backed up by outstanding talent, smart leadership and, increasingly important, technology that helps enable their people to operate at their best.
That’s why I am particularly excited about the upcoming session at HR Tech featuring Miranda Blaiklock, director of benefits, compensation and HRIS at the New England Patriots, who will join us to share some of the secrets of the Patriots’ off-field success and how that contributes to the excellence we have seen on the field over the last several years. Blaiklock will share details of how the organization streamlined its core payroll, HR and training solutions into a single system, simplifying the process of scheduling, timekeeping, payroll, benefits and training for more than 5,000 employees. She will also explore how the Patriots drove use of its HR technology to nearly 100%, leading to more data-driven decisions, and will offer tips for advancing an HR tech transformation in your organization.

This session is a perfect representation of why HR Tech is such a special event. Learning from a leader at one of the highest-performing organizations we have seen can help you understand how and where new HR tech can drive success in your organization, as it has for the Patriots. And if you attend this session, maybe you will get a glimpse of a real Super Bowl winner’s ring!
