New Deals and Partnerships

AI-recruitment platform Job.com has acquired PrincetonOne, a New Jersey-based talent solutions provider with an emphasis on recruitment process outsourcing and permanent recruitment services. Job.com is on an acquisition tear: It bought cybersecurity-focused staffing firm HireVergence in 2020, and last year it bought three other companies. Those were travel nursing-focused firm Fortus Group, contract staffing provider Endevis and per diem healthcare staffing firm QCI Healthcare.

General Mills has signed to use LaneChanger, a new DEI solution launched by Schuyler Bailar, the first trans NCAA Division I men’s athlete and the recent Grand Marshall of NYC Pride. General Mills will offer LaneChanger’s gender literacy training program for its 35,000 global employees. LaneChanger already counts FOLX Health, August, and Within Health as early adopters. LaneChanger modules cover common misconceptions of trans people, trans athletes in sports, dating a trans person, coming out and more.

Analytics provider Crosschq has partnered with TopFunnel, a candidate engagement provider, to deliver an end-to-end talent acquisition solution. The deal will allow both companies to source and engage candidates, leverage referral networks and reduce recruiter inefficiencies. Together, the tech vendors will offer data analysis—in a centralized place—from candidate recruitment through interviews and into an employee’s journey after hire.

At the close of the first half of the year, $9.41 billion had been invested in global work tech, according to George LaRocque, founder and principal analyst for WorkTech. This puts 2022 on pace to meet or exceed the record-setting $17.9 billion invested in 2021. “The pace of global work tech VC investment remains brisk in spite of the current global economic conditions and a slowing of VC investment across other tech categories,” says LaRocque, who will be speaking at the 2022 HR Tech Conference on transformation within the recruiting role.
