SAP SuccessFactors President Exits
Jill Popelka announced that she left her role as president of SAP SuccessFactors last week after working for 12 years at the company, including the last two as president. She wrote on LinkedIn: “Wow! What a great adventure! After 12 amazing years, Friday [June 2, 2022] marked my last day with SAP. And while I’m sad to close an incredible chapter of my career, I’m excited and hopeful for the next!” Popelka does not mention her next move, and SAP did not announce her successor. Watch this space.
HR Tech Number
Market research firm The Insight Partners predicts that the employee communication software market will grow at a rate of 11.8% from a value of $816.41 million in 2021 to $1.78 billion globally by 2027. The driver? Collaboration in the age of Zoom meetings.
New HR Tech Partnership
McDonald’s announced that it is offering Workplace from Meta for employee communication, training, employee experience and shift management to corporate and some global employees. So far, McDonald’s is using the solution in 11 countries in Europe and Asia.
HR Tech Funding
Coaching solution provider Cloverleaf raised $9 million. CEO Darrin Murriner says, “With this new round of funding we can continue to build on that momentum and scale up on both our offerings and functionality.”
Benefits technology startup Overalls announced a $4.6 million funding round. Overalls says it is “partnering with employers across the country to deliver well-rounded benefits for the modern workforce and help keep employees happy.”
Corporate education content hub Go1 raised more than $100 million. The new capital will help Go1 work to reach a billion learners with upskilling, reskilling and knowledge tools.
HR Tech Podcast
Comedians aren’t the only ones starting their own podcasts, HR tech leader Eightfold announced the debut of its “The New Talent Code” podcast. It’s hosted by former Gartner analyst and United Technologies HR practitioner Jason Cerrato, now Eightfold’s senior director of product marketing, and Ligia Zamora, chief marketing officer for Eightfold.
