The Consumer Price Index fell in February for the eighth consecutive month and marked the lowest level since September 2021, CNN reported. The CPI measured 6% year over year in February, down from 6.4% in January and in line with economists’ expectations. “Inflation has peaked, but it hasn’t gone into hibernation,” Mark Hamrick, senior economic analyst at Bankrate, told CNN.
