Health Advocates Network Holdings Corp., a provider of nonclinical staffing to healthcare organizations, announced a $7.0 million funding round. Health Advocates is a new firm led by staffing industry veterans that include Kevin Little, who co-founded Medical Staffing Network in 1998 and served as CEO of Accountable Healthcare Staffing from the end of 2015 to the end of 2019.

Accountable ranked as the 25th-largest US healthcare staffing firm last year, and Little appeared on the 2019 SIA Staffing 100 list.

Health Advocates Network began serving clients in February of this year.

“Our strategy remains unchanged from prior ventures — execute on an aggressive acquisition agenda to achieve critical mass while growing organically by building de novo offices in key markets,” Little said.

Health Advocates plans to close on its first acquisition later this quarter.

Another longtime executive involved in the venture is Eddie Albert, co-founder and director of mergers and acquisitions at Health Advocates Network. He also held that title at Accountable.

Albert noted the $7 million investment in Health Advocates Network comes during a difficult economic time as the Covid-19 crisis continues.

“While investors in this management team have earned healthy returns on their investments in our startup ventures over the past 25 years, to receive such overwhelming support in a challenging economic environment is extremely gratifying,” Albert said. “Now it’s time to put this growth capital to work.”
