A poll by The Pew Charitable Trusts found that 44.3% of nontraditional workers had experienced a Covid-related reduction in hours or lost their jobs. Nontraditional jobs included online and freelance workers as well as those who operate a small business. The survey also found that 10.5% of nontraditional workers had tapped their retirement savings such as making a withdrawal from an IRA.
