New Jersey’s new temporary worker law requiring equal pay for certain workers such as those that do blue-collar work takes effect Saturday, Bloomberg Law reports. The law imposes several other requirements as well. The staffing industry is fighting to change the law. Bloomberg Law noted that a law in Illinois awaiting the governor’s signature would add an equal pay requirement there, though the equal pay requirement in Illinois would only take effect once a temp has been on the same job site for 90 days.
