Economic outcomes for Americans without a college degree are improving, and only a quarter of Americans said it’s extremely or very important to have four-year degree in order to get a well-paying job, according to the Pew Research Center. Even among four-year college graduates, only 32% say college is worth the cost even if someone has to take out loans, though they are more likely than those without a degree to say so.
