Hire Velocity, an Atlanta-based recruitment process outsourcing provider, promoted Marques Smith to president. Smith joined Hire Velocity in April 2016 as VP of finance and was promoted to chief operating officer in March 2018. In other promotions, Hire Velocity named Sarah Haskin chief client officer. Haskin formerly was senior VP of client success; she joined the company in August 2018. Hire Velocity promoted Max Farkas to practice director of supply chain. Farkas has joined the company in March 2017 as a sales development representative. In addition, Jameson Foskey was promoted to practice director of healthcare. Foskey joined the company in 2019 as a talent solutions executive.
Salo, a Minneapolis-based staffing firm, named Janeen Vogelaar as chief marketing officer. Vogelaar has more than 20 years of experience, most recently as director of marketing, creative and brand at Tegna Inc., the owner of Kare 11. Vogelaar was also executive producer for the documentary film, “Love Them First: Lessons from Lucy Laney.”
Hudson Global Inc. (NASDAQ: HSON), a recruitment process outsourcing provider, appointed Mimi Drake as board chair effective Jan. 1. Drake has served on the board since February 2019 and has chaired the nominating and governance committee since May 2019. Hudson also reported that board member Richard Coleman resigned effective Jan. 1 to focus on new work commitments.
Executive search firm Zingaro, Fidler, Wolf and Co. named Tracy Wolfe as managing partner. Wolfe has been with the firm for 20 years. In addition, it reported founder Ronald Zingaro stepped down as managing partner effective Dec. 31, 2021. Zingaro will remain active in the business as emeritus partner.
Crist|Kolder Associates, an executive search firm, appointed Clem Johnson as president. Johnson takes over from Tom Kolder, who is becoming vice chairman and will serve alongside Chairman Peter Crist. In addition, the firm named Scott Simmons and Josh Crist as co-managing partners.
HireQuest Inc. (NASDAQ: HQI), a staffing franchisor, announced that board member Payne Brown resigned Dec. 8 because a policy at his employer does not allow him to serve as a director for public companies.
