Professional Santas are having a tough time this year thanks to Covid-19 and, in California, the new AB 5 law that gets tough on independent contractor misclassification, KGTV in San Diego reported. Santas typically work as independent contractors through third-party booking firms or employment agencies. To keep going this season, some Santas are turning to virtual greetings.
