Spouses of H-1B and L-1 visa holders get automatic work OK following settlement of lawsuit (The Hill)

US Citizenship and Immigration Services will now give L-2 spouses automatic work authorization and they will no longer have to apply for a separate work permit before arriving in the US after the Biden administration reached a settlement Wednesday in a class-action lawsuit filed against the Department of Homeland Security. The Hill reported that the deal will help thousands of immigrants in relationships with H-1B and L-1 visa holders who were facing long delays to receive their employment authorization.
