Temp jobs and hours worked rise, but concerns remain (USA Today)

Companies in January added temporary workers and increased the hours of workers they already have, USA Today reported. This may indicate increasing customer demand and could be a precursor of more hiring later. However, some companies are not hiring permanent workers because of concerns over what business will look like in the future, and some workers are not even looking for jobs because of concerns over contracting Covid-19.
