Temporary employment’s uncertain future in Mexico (El Siglo de Torreón)

Mexico’s formal job market recovered from the pandemic at the end of 2021, but the number of temporary jobs is down and temporary employment faces an uncertain future, reported newspaper El Siglo de Torreón (in Spanish). In 2021, the government banned outsourcing, as staffing is referred to in Latin America; firms may only provide specialized services that are not part of the corporate purpose or main economic activity of the client company.
