Temporary foreign worker restrictions in Alberta get mixed reaction (Edmonton Journal)

The government’s plan to halt much of the federal temporary foreign workers program in Alberta is getting mixed reactions from some industry and advocacy groups, the Edmonton Journal reported. The Alberta government has yet to release all the details related to its decision not to accept new temporary foreign workers from the majority of categories for the next 12 months as part of an attempt to boost the province’s economy damaged by the Covid-19 pandemic.
