The Home Depot Inc. announced it is spending $1 billion to give its workers raises, Yahoo Finance reports. The hardware retailer joins other firms in increasing wages for workers amid the Covid-19 pandemic. A Home Depot spokesperson said compensation varies by market and is based in skills responsibilities, performance and market rates. A majority of the company’s 400,000 employees will receive a pay increase through the investment.
