Wonolo today released a report with the top-paying markets for gig workers relative to the cost of living: Nashville, Tennessee; Pittsburgh; New York; New Jersey; Phoenix; Las Vegas; and Austin, Texas. In all of these markets, workers can earn far above the minimum wage and above the living wage, according to the online staffing firm.
Wonolo analyzed tens of thousands of job opportunities accepted on its platform from April 2019 to June 2020 to understand the average pay offered. It then compared that average pay offered to the living wage in each market for a single person with no children.
