Correlating culture and company performance is imperative for HR leaders to master, says Kevin Oakes, co-founder and CEO of HR research firm i4cp. A healthy culture, for example, can boost an organization’s financial performance sixfold, and HR leaders often shoulder the responsibility of creating a fit culture.
In addition to managing company culture and its effect on an organization’s performance, HR leaders face other significant challenges, says Oakes, a recent speaker at the Elevate People, Ignite Change (EPIC) conference in Las Vegas. He notes that external factors, such as the war in the Middle East, election-year political strife and DEI backlash following the Supreme Court ruling, are creating tensions in the workplace and difficulties for HR leaders.
Oakes recently sat down with Human Resource Executive at EPIC to discuss the struggles HR leaders face.
