Diversity and inclusion have been top of mind in the US. Affirmative action is one way to assist disadvantaged groups and it is this week’s Staffing Word of the Week.
SIA’s Lexicon of staffing terms defines it as a “legal policy of favoring workers who are members of a disadvantaged group that currently suffers or historically has suffered from discrimination within a culture in securing employment or a promotion.”
