Work-life balance tops the list of what creative professionals are looking for a job with 75% citing it as a top factor, according to a survey by marketing/creative staffing provider Cella. The survey also found that 90% are interested in working remotely at least some of the time and that remote work is the most-desired perk.
Cella’s survey included more than 400 creative, marketing and digital professionals. More than 80% of respondents were millennials or members of Gen X.
It also found more than 40% of respondents are considering leaving their current company and 51% are so unhappy that they would take the first opportunity to make a lateral move. Concerns with their current positions included poor leadership and management as well as toxic environments.
Other findings in the report include:
- 45% would accept a job offer if they liked the potential manager even if the salary was 5% to 10% lower than what they expected.
- 56% believe that conducting more than three interviews with a candidate is too much.
- 60% of job seekers in the creative space rated a positive policy on diversity, equity and inclusion as important or very important.
